Volunteer? For a CSA? Why not!

Farm Friends:

Do you want to go on an adventure? Do you want to see the world? Do you want to savor the taste of exotic foods? Do you want to smell the mountain's clear air? Do you want to feel the ocean's breeze against your face?

Come experience a farm adventure. Come see where good food comes from. Come savor the crispness of farm-fresh produce.  Come find out what healthy farm dirt smells like. Come feel how a warm breeze tickles against sweat drops on the face.

Last summer, Rosemary volunteered for her own farm adventure, and in exchange for volunteering, she received a weekly summer CSA. (Scroll to the bottom of this email to read of her farm adventure.)

Maybe you would like to do the same. Learn more about the Worker Share CSA on our website. Then, if you believe you're ready for your own farm adventure this summer (or have questions), contact us. We will send you a Worker Share Agreement.

Happy weekend,
Tara
(Farmer Caryl's Daughter)
P.S. We plan to finalize Worker Share volunteers by April 23!

Work, but a lot of fun... by Rosemary M.

This past summer, I worked 4 hours per week to earn my share.  I was interested in getting the organically-grown foods and thought it would be a way to save money and get the food on the day I worked. This arrangement worked out very well.  To my delight and surprise, however, what I received was more than food.

Farmer Caryl was a wonderful person to work with. She is so knowledgeable and positive in her approach. She encourages and teaches those who work with her.  It was especially encouraging to watch how she teaches the young people that work or volunteer there.  The farm is beautiful and being there was work, but also a lot of fun.  It is great to know that good food does not have to have chemicals in order to turn out really well.  I learned how to eat vegetables I had never had before, and I would either ask Caryl how to use a vegetable or I would find a recipe online.

My desire to eat more vegetables has stayed with me since last growing season has ended. I now yearn for at least one veggie at every meal, including breakfast.  Oh how much better I feel when I eat these healthy foods regularly!  I believe this is how God planned for us to eat. I hope to continue to work on the farm this coming summer.  In fact, I am anxious to get started again.
