Apple Pruning Workshop
Farm Friends:
We are excited to announce our farm's very first Apple Pruning Workshop, sponsored by Wisconsin Apple Growers Association.
This is a unique opportunity for fruit tree pruning education. You will discover how to “revive” your neglected apple trees, find out how and when to prune different fruiting trees, and enjoy comradery with other fruit tree growers.
The Saturday workshop includes:
Hands-on practice in apple tree pruning,
Information on pear tree pruning,
Q&A with a WAGA Orchard Manager,
Two hours of MG education credit, if applicable.
Please see the below flyer for further details.
See you there!
Farmer Caryl
Note: Disinfecting solution will be provided for pruning tools.
What about Coronavirus Precautions? The workshop will be held outside in our farm’s orchard; we suggest you dress warm. Food will not be served, but bottles of water will be supplied by WAGA.
Question from a Farm Friend
Q: Could we apply what we learn to a pear tree? Our backyard has a lone pear tree that I’m sure needs pruning.
A: The instructor is an Orchard Manager of Apple & Pear trees. Yes, he will include pear tree instructions, as well.
