You are invited to our Apple Tree Pruning Workshop led by a local expert and orchard manager, Jimmy Thelen.
Topics covered include an introduction to rootstocks, comparisons of pruning styles (with a focus on the Central Leader Style), five tips of pruning, tool overview, etc. This class takes into consideration both the art and science of pruning apple trees.

Paper for notes
Your own pruning tools, if desired, to ask questions and compare
Rain coat/gear or other weather-appropriate wear (If there is snow on the ground, please wear boots, as the orchard would likely have snow too.)

If Wisconsin weather finally produces a snow storm on March 22, the rescheduled snow-date is Saturday, March 29, 2-4 p.m. This workshop will be held outside and inside at our farm. No children and no pets, please.
