CSA FAQs

  • The start dates for 2024 CSA Shares are June 13/15 (Thursday/Saturday. Fall/Holiday shares will be announced at a later date.

  • Yes, BT sows, weeds, and grows all CSA produce.

  • While BT follows organically-grown methods, we have chosen not to become certified at this time. BT’s vegetables, berries, and herbs are grown free of all synthetic pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. The only exception would be our apples and cherries that are minimally treated.

  • We have three options: #1 - Thursdays (between 4:30-7:00 p.m.) at our Home Office, 645 E Juneau Ave, Oconomowoc, WI 53066. #2 - Thursdays (12:30-2:30 p.m.) at the Farm, N1087 St John's Way, Oconomowoc, WI 53066. #3 - Saturday between (9:00-11:00 a.m.) at our Home Office, 645 E Juneau Ave, Oconomowoc, WI 53066.

  • If you (or a friend) are unable to pick up your share at the scheduled pick-up time, BT will distribute the produce at its discretion to a local individual or family who is in need of a "blessing box." (We have followed this practice since we started farming, and please know that this is a gift to these households and always appreciated.)

BrynTeg needs you to have a backup plan when your schedule changes. Ask a friend or neighbor to pick up your share. It is not feasible for BT to offer customized pick-up schedules.

  • You are welcome to order extra produce by contacting Farmer Caryl for bulk requests.

  • Yes. CSA members are always welcome to come out to the farm with advanced notice and to help us in the fields. If you want to come out, just email or text us, and we'll get something on the calendar. We try our best to keep a weekly schedule. Our best days for volunteers are Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

Please make sure to read our general farm FAQs beforehand.

“I did not have experience with other CSAs before joining you [BrynTeg Farm], I was just going to farmers markets or the grocery store. But last year both because of COVID (wanting to support small businesses, and wanting to stay out of grocery stores) and for environmental and personal health reasons, I started looking at CSAs. I was specifically looking for one with limited pesticide use and sustainable farming techniques, in Waukesha County and found you!

“I am most looking forward to tomatoes and apples, because they’re just so much better fresh from a farm. I loved the celery and chard because I’ve never managed to grow that on my own. And I love getting things I’m totally unfamiliar with - like kohlrabi which was totally new to me last year!”
